Alice Bilas

January 15, 1935 — March 20, 2024

Alice Bilas (Fischer) passed peacefully after a brief illness on March 20th, 2024. Alice was born in Mogadir, French Morocco and grew up there in a large and loving family.
In 1953, she met and married her first love, SFC Frank Fischer with whom she had three daughters. They lived many places during his years in service, including North Carolina, Germany and three years in Italy. She spoke 5 languages which allowed her to meet and speak with many different people thorough out her life.
Upon the death of her husband Frank in 1969, she and her daughters settled in Clifton, New Jersey. Ten years later, Alice met and married
Mike Bilas, with whom she shared a long and loving marriage, until
his passing in 2011. They spent more than 40 years in Lauderhills, Florida, enjoying making new and lifelong friends, rounds of golf, dancing at their country club and entertaining in their lovely home.
Mom held many parties, barbecues and large holiday gatherings, showing off her gourmet cooking skills and as always, being the life of the party.
Mom was a fashionista who always dressed beautifully and never missed a beauty parlor appointment. She loved to dance and could be seen frequently dancing with her children and great grandchildren in the kitchen, living room or wherever and whenever!
She was a fabulous baker and was known for making the most unusual and delicious cookies, which were often requested by friends and family to share at their weddings and special occasions. She took great pleasure in passing on these traditions to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and was most happy to be in the kitchen with them.
She used her cooking skills to make many Sabbath meals at her temple, Beit Mashea, which was then shared with the less fortunate. She would often share her own meals with many of her neighbors who were grateful to have such a gourmet meal.
Mom was a proud, determined and strong women which allowed her to live independently to the end in her beautiful condo which she so enjoyed.
She was loved and admired by all who knew her, and their lives were enriched from knowing her.
Along with her two husbands, Frank and Mike, she was pre-deceased by her dear brother-in-law Richard Fischer, and her siblings, Sultana, Zari, Mimi, Raymonde and Mordechai.
She is survived by her brother Max Mouyal, her three daughters, Elaine Waller ( Rich), Rita Boyle (Gene) and Maryann Kay ( Michael).
Her grandchildren Gene Boyle ( Mark Bajus), Kristin DeCellio ( Christopher), Jenna Boyle-Bouchard ( Joseph) and Alexandra Strom ( Daryl).
Her great grandchildren Matthew DeCellio, Ryan DeCellio, Callum Boyle-Bajus, Rex Bouchard and Mila Grace Boyle-Bajus.
