Ernest Mendillo Jr.

Mendillo, Ernest Jr., 85 of Upper Saddle River, passed away on November 27, 2018. Beloved husband of Barbara (Saba) Mendillo. Loving father to Ernest Mendillo III & his wife Jozi, Kevin Mendillo Sr. & his wife Leona, Michael Mendillo I & his wife Kathy. Devoted grandfather to Kevin Mendillo Sr., Michael Mendillo II, Danny Mendillo, Ernest Mendillo IV, Anja Mendillo, Ally Mendillo, Katja Mendillo, Lauren Mendillo, Tara Mendillo and Carolina Mendillo. Dear brother to Raymond Mendillo and Marie Saccucci.

Ernest was born in Providence, RI and moved to New Jersey in 1958 settling in Bergen County, he lived the last 30 years in Upper Saddle River. He was a Teacher and then became Principal for the Northvale Public Schools for 18 years before retiring in 1988. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Fidelians of America in North Haledon.

Funeral on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from the Aquino Colonial Funeral Home – 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River at 11 AM. Visiting on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 2 PM to 8 PM.
